Stampcraft Project & New Challenge - Week 35
Another week of projects! My focus for this week is to complete all of my projects. I'm not doing too well on that front. I also wanted to post another change to the "About Me" section of my blog - I'll be honest, it's been a little while since I updated it and I'm just getting back to it now. I've been trying to do it each week, but it just seems to be a mountain of work and it has been taking more time than I'd like. But I digress.
Here's what's going on in my crafty world!
Card Class
One of my classmates from the card class I took at the ACES had her baby on Friday. Congrats to her and her family. We played some games in her crafting room when we were all there. I've still got a bunch of projects to finish before I get to them, so I may not share a photo of her card until later this week.
Stamp Craft Project
And my next project is to do a few Valentine projects. This one is a paper packet card and is stamped with one of my new stamp sets from Stampendous called "Roses by the Seasons."

Herein, a DNA-templated copper-based metal organic framework (Cu-MOF) for nitroaromatic sensing is firstly reported. The ternary complex of copper(II)-4-pyridyl-2,6-bis(2-methyl-3-thienyl)-1,3,5-triazine (TPTZ) shows excellent photophysical properties and is applied as the sensing material. The DNA-templated MOF showed selective and sensitive sensing toward the detection of nitroaromatic analytes including p-nitrophenol (PNP), 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP), p-nitroaniline (pNA) and p-nitrobenzoic acid (PNBA), which possesses an excellent dynamic range (2-1250 ppm), a low limit of detection (LOD, 0.14-1.53 ppm) and a large linear range (2-1000 ppm). The DNA-templated Cu-MOF exhibits outstanding photostability and high selectivity for nitroaromatic analytes, which is ascribed to the DNA template. Moreover, we investigate the effects of several metal ions on the sensing response, which shows that Cu(II) ions are the most favorable for the sensing reaction.
